... for my fellow festys out there, i saw empire of the sun @ coachella and they know how to put on a show. it was a bit trippy with all their insane costuming and set changes. it was pretty rad and crazy on the eyes, but still a very chill atmosphere. (my favorite is "walking on a dream" but i've already posted it)

but mumfords still has my heart. just watch this video in awe. their musical talents are surreal, with a variety of instruments on stage for every song. to be THAT great at guitar... *sigh* if only.

my brother just got back from bonnaroo a few days ago so he has been filling me in on the events of the weekend, and also bringing tears to my eyes with jealousy. i wish i could have been there so badly, but family comes first & i have no regrets passing up the festival to spend a weekend with a million cousins/family that i hadn't seen in years! but check back soon i'm on the search for the best roo videos and i'll make a playlists in honor of this past weekend in good ole manchester, TN. xo.

day 4, wow we made it. woke up every morning @ sun rise soaked in sweat, all for the love of music. we did so much, but at the same time i still had so much more on my to do list!! so i WILL have to make it back next year.

my favorite part of sunday was hands down PHOENIX. they were amazing!! i saw them at coachella, but i was very far back in the crowd because my crew wanted to leave early. but this time i was in charge of when we were leaving hehe. soo i got my front rowish concert the 2nd time around @ roo! they are such a lovely band from paris!! i love their music, and they stole my heart that night. up there with passion pit in my book. hi pure genuis of music.

rocked my dream catcher earring. trying to keep out bad karma. make it home in one piece, which CHECK. success as i am snuggled in my AIR CONDITIONED room as i blog this.

the crowd surfing @ phnx was out of control. i think about 10 bodies got launched at my head, and if it isn't too obvious i am not strong enough to catch a human male with no warning, especially on my head.

DMB wrapped up the fest. it was a good ending to chill out to, but at the same time i wish it would have left me a little more siked. i have seen dave live at least 5 times, soo i guess that might also have something to do with it. they were still great tho!! bonnaroo, you did me well. loveeeely times. miss it!!!!!

BONNAROO day 3 & 4.

saturday was for sure the hottest day. making it to about 102. the sun was harsh on my irish skin that was already burnt. this magical mushroom was a life saver.
i still get tears in my eyes when i think about saturday. it was just so effing hot that we were all SOOOO WORN OUT. soo we just didn't make it to all the artists we wanted to b/c over overheatingggg and being tired!! but regardless, we could hear the music from our campsite, so lying in the tent late at night, relaxing & listening to some of your favorite bands is still not a bad way to spend your night. this picture of luke describes us that day. physically not there, mentally yearning to be in the front row of the crowds!! hahaha so, this was my attempt to wake him up for jay z & deadmau5. i piled on everything i saw.... hey, it kind of worked.

SAT. MUSiC HiGHLiGHTS: Rebelution, Stevie Wonder, Weezer Jay Z, Deadmau5, The Disco Biscuits sunday, thank god, i regained my strength. i felt so much more energized after sleeping. & i was determined to get over to centeroo asap to take advantage of all the festivities before we had to say goodbye :( me & luke packed up the tent=major STRUGGLE. and then headed over to enjoy one last day of music. we had a lot of fun at centeroo just playing around like kids & dancing to the music. it was a bit cooler than the day before, but not by much. we took a bunch of cool pictures & rode the ferris wheel. the site from above was insane!! sooo many cars soo many people! love it.we desperately wanted to see aziz ansari preform, but people were camped out for tickets. so we decided to see Bo Burnam instead, who is also HiLARIOUS. & that way we got to make it to more bands.

BONNAROO day 2.

the second day was one really fun & also the day i got extremely burnt!! lessons start again: BRING SPF 250. seriously. i got separated from my brother because i headed up to centeroo around 11 am to find the FUSE stand, which was really cool, bc if you are a retard like me and didn't bring a car charger-- they had this huge stand just for that with every kind of services needed. so that line, of course took a while. but i had a lot of fun while i was waiting just people watching. then while i was waiting on it to actually charged i posted up near the mist tent where they were playing music near by with some of my favorite songs. i took a lil tiger snooze, and my back and face started to burn like crazeeeee."FLYiNG SQUiRREL, please call BABY SQUIRREL asap.""roger that baby squirrel, lets hit up the beer tent."

we luckily found eachother before i headed back to the campsite. so we wandered a bit and hit up a few stations-- like the photo opt! hahaha we got to dress up like rockstars and take a picture on a stage. i was (naturally) lead singer & guitarist. and lucas was geeking in the back while playing the drums. it was rad, but i have yet to figure out how to locate this picture! it is priceless, and i WILL find it.

soo since my phone charging mission was a total failure bc i got it back with a dead battery.... i used my compromising skills with a recycling tent. they would take bags of recyables in exchange for points towards buying merchandise. so, i asked if i could use an outlet instead & went on my way to help save the world! it was actually really fun, and i felt really proud of myself after cleaning up an entire field after a show ended! GO GREEN.

my brother dancing in the video above. kewwwwl >>>> & THiS GUY. hahaha omg so i was walking to the bathrooms and i feel water on my leg, so i thought something was spilling & i was frantically looking through my bag like shit my camera!!! and then it didnt stop, and i finally turn and see this guy (in pic below) with a spray bottle pointed at me & he was laughing so hard... then proceeded to tell me that he had been doing this to people all day & that this was the best reaction he had seen yet. oh AWESOME. lol, picture after=must.ohhhhhkay. yes. i have a girl crush on zooey from she & him. i love her as an actress. i love her as a musician. she said at the end "it doesn't matter if you are a good singer, as long as you mean it!" EFF YESS! amen.
dear zooey, please marry my brother so we can become best friends. thats all. thanks.
sooo these guys were interesting. there were a bunch of guys dressed up as avatars. and they all circled around me and started doing some chant and i was like awkwardly holding my recycling bag & clearly lot fitting in without a blue painted body. my brother got to sit back and watch this happen.

eeeeeeek, i spy paint!! and it my favorite color, BODY PAiNT TiME. :) made my day. duh.
